Rather than changing fittings or cutting beer lines every time you want to swap a commercial or homebrew keg in your draft beer system, use this tail piece. It attaches to the keg coupler with a hex nut or wing nut. Instead of a barb, it provides a 1/4-inch MFL threaded connection.
