Homebrew casks (sometimes referred to as real ale kegs) initially require a soft spile peg while venting beer. The soft spile is designed to allow excess gas to escape.
Once you have determined that the venting process is complete, you’ll need to insert a hard spile to ensure that gas is no longer able to escape from the cask.
Made from porous bamboo wood and sized to fit perfectly in a synthetic bung of a firkin cask, this soft spile is the firkin supply you need to get the job done.
Both the hard spile and soft spile are essential cask parts used to condition and brew cask beer properly. These wooden cask beer supplies will do the trick.
