What You Need to Know About LUKR Faucets

LUKR faucets from the Czech Republic continue to gain in popularity across North America, and you can get yours from KegWorks! These faucets operate like a dimmer switch where you can control the amount of foam and beer with the side pull handle. Originally created to pour Czech pilsners, this different-looking draft faucet features a ball valve handle that you pull to pour beer from and a spout that you insert into the glass to fill it.

The Baroko and Nostalgie LUKR models have the traditional side pull style handle, while the LUKR Freedom features a unique vertically-operating handle that takes up less space than the side pull faucets. All LUKR draft faucets are constructed from stainless steel.

There are three styles for pouring Czech Pilsners wiith a LUKR. The Hladinka is the standard method that provides you with a mug half full of beer and half full of foam (or about three fingers worth), which gives you a balanced mix of the bitterness and sweetness in the beer. Šnyt is a smaller beer poured into a large glass consisting of two parts beer, three parts foam, and one part empty glass. This is refreshing and less-filling pour gives you room to enjoy more beer or food during a session. Then there is Mlíko, a mug full of sweet and creamy wet foam that shows off the beer's hops and aromatics. This is traditionally enjoyed as a dessert beer.
