Unlock the deliciousness locked inside your keg with the right keg coupler.
What You Need to Know About Keg Couplers
A key element of any draft beer system is the keg coupler, a small but vital piece of equipment that connects the gas and beer lines to your keg. Pressurized gas (either CO2 or Nitrogen depending on the type of beer being dispensed) flows into the side of the keg coupler through an air line and the beer flows out through a beer line attached to the top. View our keg coupler list to find the right coupler for your keg.
Choosing the Correct Coupler
Even though all keg couplers are similar in appearance and function, you’ll need to make sure you’ve got the right style for the keg you want to tap. The D-System Sankey Coupler will tap most American or Canadian domestic kegs including Yuengling, Miller, Budweiser and almost all beers brewed in North America. For European brands, the S-System European Sankey Coupler works with the majority of beloved beers like Heineken, Stella Artois, Amstel, and many more.
If you want to dispense frothy pints of Guinness you will need the U-System Guinness Coupler, which will also work for Harp Lager and Kilkenny. Known for notable German beers, the A-System Coupler will tap Hoegaarden, Isenbeck, and Aigner along with many others. The M-System Coupler and G-System Couplers are less commonly used, but are required for tapping some beers.
